For the worlds within us.

Female biology is not niche. It never was.

We spend our lives experiencing female biology. Yet some of its most extraordinary systems remain unfamiliar to us.

Periods. Sex. Hormones. Pregnancy. Antibiotics. Perimenopause. Menopause.

We feel the shifts. We aren’t always taught the biology beneath them.

Daughters of Mars exists to look closer. To understand the biology already at work within our bodies. To make that knowledge easier to access. And to create products shaped by what we learn.

The name

A name for what was ours all along.

The Daughters of Mars were warrior women, described at the edges of the ancient known world: strong, fearless and formidable.

We loved the name because it spoke to something we recognised in female biology itself: strength, intelligence and resilience.

But it came to mean something else, too.

For generations, women have lived inside extraordinary bodies while so much of our own biology has remained under-researched, under-taught and surrounded by silence.

We have ecosystems of our own. Rhythms of our own. Biology that has been ours all along.

Daughters of Mars is about looking again. Understanding it. Talking about it. And creating from what we learn.

Because our biology was always ours. The knowledge should be too.

Our philosophy

Innate. Intelligent. Ours.

We start with the female body, its microbiomes, rhythms and complexity, and formulate from there.

INNATEWe look first to the biology already at work within the female body.
INTELLIGENTNamed strains, purposeful doses and research behind every choice.
OURSFemale biology isn’t an adaptation. It’s the starting point.

This one’s for us.

For bodies too often treated as an afterthought.

From our founder

A higher standard.

Lucy Hope founded Daughters of Mars from a fascination with the biology women are rarely taught about, and a belief that the products made for our bodies should be held to a higher standard.

“Whether I’m creating something for myself, for the women I love, or for a woman I’ve never met who finds us somewhere on the other side of the world, the standard is the same. I have to believe it’s worthy of her.”
